Philosophy
Each site possess a unique quality and a distinct sense of place that gives it special significance. This applies to a small town house or a large grand estate.
Clients are also unique and special with their own needs and requirements for the home and outdoor space.
We get to know the site and our clients, to develop a unique concept which then leads to understanding on how best to guide the clients on a journey towards creating their own special garden design.
Our horticultural knowledge enables us to always consider environmental sustainability into the design process.
The Process
Concept
Our design inspiration comes from considering:
The site and its location, character, distinctive atmosphere, heritage and setting.
The client, their lifestyle and aspirations.
From these elements we develop a concept which holds the key to the whole garden design process.
Mood board
Visual communication is fundamental in sharing the concept of the design.
Creating a mood board with images that represent the look and feel of the design.
Hand drawn sketches and digital representations of important views can help clients visualise ideas and informed decisions made.
Concept Plan
A concept plan is created and will become the final drawing that is presented to the client. This is a digital 3D scale model of the whole garden. It is used throughout the design process to visualise the space and enables the client to see how the design will appear from many views points. It can also be used by landscapers to provide quotes for the construction phase.
Planting plans
Planting choices are so important in a garden design. Using horticultural best practice and fully understanding the design concept allows us to make the right choices for the planting. Ensuring that the right plant is in the right place

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world.
